When it comes to innovation, Bakker Sliedrecht without doubt belongs to the leaders in its sector. The innovations initiated by us are always practice-based, meeting the requirements of specific customers or the entire market.
Some innovative highlights:
Frequency converters >
The directly water-cooled frequency converters developed and produced by Bakker Sliedrecht are real technical gems. They are widely used in the industrial and maritime sectors. Maritime examples include pumps, cutters, winches, diesel-electric propulsion, on-board tensioners for pipe-layers, etc. The industrial use of Bakker frequency converters comprises e.g. rolling mill drives, conveyor belts, extruders, ventilators, windmills and lifting cranes.
BIMAC >
BIMAC is short for Bakker Integrated Monitoring Alarm and Control system. This in-house design is an advanced system through which important maritime or industrial processes can be monitored and controlled. The basis of the system are PLC's and PC's with touch screens, which are connected in a network. The system comprises all the necessary alarm and control functions. Special software allows the easy visualisation of any process, also remote if so required. The modular BIMAC layout renders it suitable for both new development and renovation.
Submersible motors >
These motors are specially developed for the direct or indirect drive of dredging and mining pumps, cutters, bucket-wheel excavators, etc. Their compact and robust design enables them to operate under extreme conditions, e.g. in deep water, thus also improving the efficiency and reliability of the systems that use them. The result: increased operational output.
