Quality, safety, health and the environment are important aspects of the Bakker Sliedrecht policy. In fact, they have the same priority as achieving our commercial business aims. To monitor this, we developed an integral and certified quality system in compliance with ISO 9001 and VCA** (the most common safety norm in Dutch industry), as well as with all legal employment regulations. The aims, procedures and guidelines have all been laid down in manuals and publications. The system has been implemented at all levels of the internal organisation, falling under the responsibility of a coordinator for quality, working conditions and safety, and the environment. The coordinator is authorised to identify problems, recommend corrective measures and to verify compliance with the system regulations. The coordinator falls directly under the General Director.
