Bakker Sliedrecht Developments in China
Tuesday 09 August 2011 10:53 After many years of successful cooperation with projects at Chinese shipyards in Tianjin and Dalian, Bakker Sliedrecht succeeded to receive new orders from other Chinese clients.
Recently Bakker Sliedrecht, the Dutch supplier of electrical equipment for specialized Dredging and Offshore vessels, has been granted the delivery of electrical equipment and systems for new ships to be built in Chinese shipyards.
Submersible motors
On June 14th an order was granted by Jiangsu Haixin Ship Heavy Industry Co., Ltd in Nantong to supply a serie of 4 submersible motors for driving a submerged dredge pump and a cutter on a Cutter Suction Dredger which is under construction now. The IP68 motors (designed for a working depth up till 35m below the waterline) have a rated power of 1400 kW, and are specially designed to cope with the harsh conditions onboard this kind of dredging vessels. They provide the best quality and endurance possible with today`s technology, which is the main reason for the customer to choose for Bakker.
