By signing a three-year framework service agreement, Bakker Sliedrecht will take care of all services and parts supply required for the maintenance, repairs and conversions of the electrical installations on board of the majority of Van Oord key-assets worldwide exclusively. The contract was signed on august 26 in Rotterdam.
Bakker Sliedrecht and Van Oord have an outstanding track-record in their cooperation in the past 25 years. This contract will strengthen this partnership by focusing on bringing down the total cost of ownership during the entire lifetime of the vessels. The emphasis will be on technical improvements, teamwork, upstream supply chain improvement and process-optimization.

A dedicated, permanent team is allocated to support and to coordinate required activities for the Van Oord vessels on a worldwide basis. Service staff is available 365 days per year, 7 days per week and 24 hours per day.
