Bakker Sliedrecht has received an order from the municipality of Amsterdam to extend the existing low voltage Metroform switchgear of the north side of the IJtunnel in Amsterdam. As Metroform switchgear is no longer made, Bakker Sliedrecht will engineer, fabricate, install and commission 3 new panels from scratch that are coupled to the existing Metroform installation.

Extension of ventilation capacity IJtunnel

The low voltage switchgear of the IJtunnel is extended to increase the ventilation capacity of the IJtunnel. Increasing the ventilation capacity is part of a larger renovation project that takes place in the summer of 2016. Bakker Sliedrecht will install the new panel before the start of this renovation project. The new panel will be commissioned when the tunnel is closed for traffic during the execution of the renovation project.

Bakker Sliedrecht already successfully delivered a new panel for existing low voltage switchgear of the IJtunnel in 2012.
