Bakker Sliedrecht’s sister company RH Marine installed their first Energy Management System on the MV Hallaig seaging ferry in 2012, and many vessels have followed since. By analysing the data of the different ship types, RH Marine has continued to optimise the hybrid energy source management. The combined data of the unpredictable sailing profile of a yacht proves 11% fuel savings and 32% generator running hour reductions while the predictable sailing profile of a ferry shows 35% fuel savings and 28% reduction in generator running hours.
Constant feedback about the fleet’s performance and system health status is valuable information for the fleet manager. The remote monitoring system provides a web-based portal with customizable mimics and data presentation.
