The design and construction of the drilling equipment for these ships for Noble drilling was the responsibility of Huisman. This design integrated the drilling equipment and vessel equipment from the start of the design process. Resulting in a more compact drilling vessel and lower building- and operational costs.
Bakker Sliedrecht took care of the design of the drive systems of the drilling equipment. Liquid-cooled DC bus drive systems were used to meet the demand of the customer.
