For this innovative high quality heavy lifting vessel of Seaway 7, we developed a diesel-electric propulsion concept, featuring a redundant energy generation and propulsion system. The thrusters are fed and controlled by direct water-cooled frequency converters in order to optimize the availability together with the Kongsberg ship management and DP system (DP3 notation).
Bakker Sliedrecht engineered and delivered the control system and automation for the powerful ballast water system. This project, executed by the Combination Croon Bakker, also includes switchboards, control desks, cabling and training.
